Students who successfully pass the 80-hour Nurse Assistant program receive an Application for Testing Voucher. This must be mailed 4-5 days after the student receives the application in order for the state to enter in the roster of names for students who recently passed the program. If a student mails in the application too soon, it will be returned because they did not allow sufficient time for the state to input their name into the system. Although the application is valid for one year, it is recommended hat students take the credentialing exam right way, while the information and skills are fresh in the mind. Students who fail either the written or skills exams may repeat the didactic portion of the program for free, when there is adequate space in the classroom and if it is less than one year from the date the application was issued.
